Asian Beach Games 2008 Bali Indonesia

This month exactly today October 18, 2008, there is an event in Bali Indonesia. This is Asian Beach Games 2008. This event has participated by 45 countries from Asia only such as Indonesia, Oman, Qatar, Syria, Uni Emirate Arab, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Mongolia, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Brunei, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines and others country in Asia. Total of athlete that comes to Bali approximately 6000 peoples, they come to be best and to be the winner.

There are about 19 kind sports in this event, all is about beach. The Asian Beach Games start at October 18, 2008 and would be close at October 26, 2008. The opening ceremony was opened by President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. He comes with his wife Ani Yudhoyono. This opening ceremony also was open by Reza Arthamevira, she sing a song titled “Together We Inspire the World”. This event would be close by Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kall.

This is the first event of Asian Beach Games. As Indonesian peoples surely I’m happy to hear about it, Indonesia as a place of this event. The slogan of Asian Beach Games 2008 is “Inspire the World”. When say at the ceremony, Mr. Susilo say; welcome to Bali Island, Bali is meeting between peoples and nature. You come to this event is to be the best and to compete.

Almost all event always included torch. In this even the torch take from Mrapen, Grobogan, Central Java. From Mrapen the torch would go to Jakarta then carry to Bali by more than 500 people. If you want see the athletes fight in Bali, please visit Bali Indonesia before closing ceremony.
